WHO ARE WE?

Founded in 2019 in Istanbul, Ilk Sen Ol Youth Movement Association is a dynamic youth organization that aims to increase young people’s active participation in social life, promote a culture of volunteering, and generate social benefit. Since its establishment, the association has specialized in European Union projects and has been dedicated to creating opportunities that support young people’s personal development in  various fields.

Ilk Sen Ol carries out impactful projects both locally and internationally in diverse areas such as youth work, intercultural learning, arts, and sports. With a strong vision to build bridges among youth-focused civil society organizations across Europe, the association played a pioneering role in establishing the European Sharpers platform and currently serves as its coordinator. In this leadership role, Ilk Sen Ol not only provides strategic guidance but also strengthens the capacities of youth workers in Europe through digital tools, educational programs, and project support mechanisms.

Through the European Sharpers network, the association supports the empowerment of young people in areas such as volunteering, active citizenship, social entrepreneurship, and cultural diversity. It promotes inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable youth work across Europe. Ilk Sen Ol develops projects that encourage young people to become problem-solvers and active participants in society, offering them platforms to express themselves freely through sports, arts, and culture.

The association emphasizes the importance of fostering a culture of living together regardless of language, religion, or ethnicity. It prioritizes human identity above all differences and works to raise awareness on this principle. Strongly committed to human rights, Ilk Sen Ol bases all its work on the core values of human dignity, freedom, equality, democracy, and the rule of law.

While the organization’s main activities are based in Istanbul, it also operates in different regions of Türkiye and internationally. Embracing the transformative power of youth, Ilk Sen Ol Youth Movement Association continues to contribute to the creation of a more equal, inclusive, and participatory society together with young people.

OUR GOALS

• To contribute to the social, cultural, artistic, sports, scientific and professional development of young people.
• To contribute to young people becoming individuals who have a love for people and nature.
• To establish partnerships and develop projects with youth organizations operating locally, nationally and internationally.
• To raise awareness among young people and society about natural disasters, first aid, environment, energy saving and protection of energy resources.
• To create solution-oriented approaches in areas such as the problems, employment and needs of young people throughout Türkiye.
• To carry out activities to ensure that young people have an entrepreneurial, creative, solution-oriented, productive, participatory, principled and leadership spirit.
• To keep goodness alive always and everywhere.
• To create a culture of cooperation and sharing in society.
• To produce solutions with permanent projects aimed at eliminating poverty and ensuring social justice.
• To provide solutions for social aid services such as in-kind, cash, medical, food, education, shelter and shelter to people in need around the world, aiming to bring happiness and comfort to people.
