Creating Hope Through Skills, Education and Community: The Story of Hope for Youth Training Company (HYTC)
At Hope for Youth Training Company (HYTC), we believe that every young person deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and shape a better future. Our story began with a simple but powerful idea: young people in Palestine possess enormous potential, yet many face significant challenges in accessing quality training, employment opportunities, and support systems that help them turn their ambitions into reality. Motivated by this belief, the idea of HYTC emerged in 2018, and our activities officially started in 2020 before becoming a registered organization in 2021. Since then, we have been working to create opportunities for young people, graduates, women, and aspiring entrepreneurs through education, training, and community-based initiatives. For us, empowerment is not only about providing knowledge and skills; it is about restoring confidence, nurturing creativity, and giving hope.
Throughout the years, HYTC has developed into a dynamic training and capacity-building organization that focuses on youth empowerment, vocational education, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and lifelong learning. We have implemented numerous initiatives, including training for employment programs, summer schools, after-school educational activities, language courses, entrepreneurship support programs, and digital learning opportunities. Our beneficiaries include university students, fresh graduates, unemployed youth, women, and individuals seeking professional development. We strongly believe that learning should be practical, inclusive, and relevant to the realities of the labour market. Therefore, our programs are designed in close consultation with young people, trainers, educational institutions, and employers. This approach enables us to combine technical knowledge with creativity, mentorship, and personal development, helping participants become active contributors to their communities.
What inspires our work most is the resilience and determination of the young people we meet every day. In Palestine, many young people face economic and social challenges, yet they continue to dream, innovate, and strive for better opportunities. Their stories motivate us to continue creating spaces where learning and hope can flourish. Over the years, we have established partnerships with universities, training institutions, and organizations that share our commitment to youth development and social impact. We believe that sustainable change cannot be achieved alone; it requires cooperation, dialogue, and strong partnerships. Our vision is to contribute to a society where young people and women have the skills, confidence, and opportunities necessary to participate actively in economic and social development.
Joining the Young European Shapers (YES) Network represents an exciting opportunity for HYTC. We were motivated to become part of this community because we share the network’s values of participation, inclusion, cooperation, and youth engagement. We believe that young people are not only beneficiaries of projects; they are changemakers and active actors capable of shaping their societies and contributing to positive transformation. Being part of the YES Network gives us the opportunity to learn from the experiences of organizations from different countries, exchange innovative ideas, and build meaningful collaborations. At the same time, we hope to contribute our own experience in youth empowerment, vocational education, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. We value diversity and believe that bringing together different perspectives strengthens our collective capacity to create impact.
Looking ahead, we see the YES Project as much more than a network; we see it as a community of people and organizations committed to building a better future together. We hope to collaborate with partners on initiatives that promote youth participation, digital and green skills, entrepreneurship, intercultural dialogue, and social inclusion. We are particularly interested in developing innovative educational approaches and creating opportunities that support employability and active citizenship among young people. Our expectation is that the YES Project will strengthen solidarity among organizations, inspire new ideas, and create long-lasting partnerships that continue beyond the lifetime of the project itself. Together, we hope to empower young people to become confident leaders, active citizens, and positive changemakers in their communities.
